To reduce risk, the Alexandria Health Department encourages all organizations and individuals to take necessary steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a result, the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is implementing service delivery adjustments.

March 21: Playgrounds and Fenced Fields, Courts and Dog Parks Closed
March 20: Operation of Remaining Recreation Centers Suspended
March 18: Service Adjustments Effective March 19

As a proactive measure to reduce risk from COVID-19 Coronavirus, registration will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1 for City residents and Friday, April 3 for nonresidents. Registration applies to classes, activities, programs and leagues taking place April through August.

Registration is now open for more than 75 camp options for youth ages 2 to 17, including sports; creative arts; computers; nature; performing arts; cooking; excursions; Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM); Camp Adventure; Out of School Time and classic camps. Registration is available online, or in-person at the Lee Center (1108 Jefferson St.).
