The City of Alexandria and Friends of Rocky Versace will host the 20th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Thursday, November 11, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Mount Vernon Recreation Center (2701 Commonwealth Ave.).

The City of Alexandria’s Environmental Action Plan 2040 set a goal of achieving a 40% tree canopy cover by 2035. Tree canopy is essential green infrastructure that mitigates the heat and flooding associated with climate change while improving public health and increasing property values.
